Miss Pettigrew Lives For A Day by Winifred Watson.
A Cinderella style story set in 1930’s London. A quirky easy to read novel about a down at heel, dowdy governess falling into the company of the 1930’s ‘bright, young things’ and how events unfold over the course of just one day. An utterly charming read with cute little sketches throughout! 8/10 Catherine

It’s a long time since I’ve read a book with sketches in it & at first was not keen however they did help set the scene & I did enjoy the storyline once I had taken myself back to the 30s & could imagine my Grandmother in this story. 7/10 Hilary

Overall, the book club members felt this was one of the best books read and reviewed so far!
